It was around 3pm when I put-in, which meant I was about 5 hours behind from the start, but it was late fall so I had till about 9pm before it got dark. The creek was low, which meant some portaging, but I thought I could make it by night-fall and before the incoming rain hit. Wrong...

I was heading west into Portland, Oregon for a 3 O'Clock delivery when, out my windshield, appeared a site to behold. I had a couple hours to spare so I figured I would check out Multnomah Falls. I didn't know what the two extra tickets were for, let alone if I would be out of the Air Force in time. But my philosophy was that I would rather have it and not need it... then need it and not have it! And boy did it bear fruition this time. I had gone for the music but found something else...

Mallory Square in Key West is a beautiful place to watch a sunset. But you need to make sure you get there early to catch the street artists/performers. It gets a bit hectic 'till just before sunset when it goes quiet so that just as the sun hits the water you can hear it sizzle... Click for 'Sunset at Mallory Square, Key West'...
