DAWGS PRAYER
Pooch At this point I had decided to put the camera away. I was having to go over way to many trees and time was becoming of the essence. With all the portaging, not to mention my late start, it appeared I wouldn't make the get-out before dark. With no cell reception, Cingular, I couldn't call Mike and let him know I was gonna be late. And for toppers, rain was about an hour away and I had an unknown amount of time left (first time down this stretch of Stevens Creek - ended up being about 6 hours left). I had to remember that we do it for the stories we could tell...
